feis ile bottle 2007 "vintage 1989"

this is turning into an expensive.... "friendship"... but... a 17 yo... at the same price as last year's 12 yo... can't resist...

This year our Feis Ile bottling was really special - a 17 year old chosen by our Master Blender Robert Hicks. Bottled at full cask strength and simply barrier filtered it is a unique example of our ex-bourbon matured Laphroaig at its very finest.

Today's single malt. Laphroaig quarter cask

i'm loving this.... more than the standard 10 year old.
slight citrus on the nose, ... the fullness of the smoky taste, fills up the entire mouth, throat, tongue... now that's laphroaig for me.

smooth taste of wood (oak?)...
